As a follow on from the previous year's hugely successful Legend's game, the two teams once again went into battle this year with Terrington Glory's title winning side looking to gain revenge from last year's penalty shoot out defeat by The Legend's. The day also included a raffle back at The Bay Horse Inn which was all in aid of raising money for the club.
TERRINGTON GLORY 3 - 3(P) LEGENDS XI
Terrington Glory's title winning side were out for revenge this time around when they faced off against a more youthful Legend's team than last year's. The Glory's pre match drawing of the starting team out of a hat gave every player a new position to what they had played in for the entire previous season, and the lack of experience in their new positions showed as the Legend's made the brighter start, and it wasn't long before they made the deserved breakthrough. Pete Fletcher's telling cross from the right could only be flapped at by keeper Ben Gill, and ex Glory title winner Danny Brockless was hand to put the ball into the net to make it one nil from close range, before wheeling away with his trademark "butterfly" celebration much to the delight of the large watching crowd. That goal woke the Glory up and they began to dictate proceedings. Plenty of possession around the Legend's box was finally rewarded with the equaliser when Christian Walton's low effort from twenty yards found the corner of the net. For the rest of the first half the Glory dominated possession, but a lack of killer touch in front of goal meant they couldn't add to the tally. Paul Milner was guilty of one very bad miss when he blazed over from six yards when an open goal was in front of him. The second half had more action at both ends. The Glory again had the more possession but failed to put their chances away, and the Legend's were dangerous on the break. Ben Gill thought he had made it two one to the Glory shortly after the break but his powerful effort hit both crossbar and post with the keeper beaten. They finally did make it two one when Glory skipper Danny Bulmer raced clear to send a lovely lob over the keeper and into the net. More chances came and went for the Glory with two penalty appeals surprisingly turned down by the ref, and they were made to pay with fifteen minutes remaining, when Stuart Taylor's persistence earned the Legend's team the leveller. His break clear looked offside but he was allowed to go on and when his first effort hit the post, he was on hand to steer in the rebound. Just as it looked like the game was going to go to penalty's once again, Ben Gill struck to make it three two to the Glory with a shot from twenty yards that found the bottom corner for what everyone thought was the winner. It didn't turn out that way though as with just seconds remaining Pete Fletcher produced a moment of magic by lobbing keeper Matty Leathley from twenty-fie yards for a terrific goal to send the game once again to penalties. The penalty shootout once again went the way of the Legend's as only Ben Gill found the net out of the five Glory takers, with Paul Milner, Danny Bulmer, Paul Tyler and Nicky Scaling all missing their spot kicks, meaning Stuart Taylor's and Darren Haywood's successful spot kicks meant the Legends XI retained their trophy.

This year saw the first ever Terrington Glory vs a Legends XI take place. The event took place in conjunction with Breast Cancer awareness to halp make money for both causes. The day started with the main event, a tough hard fought game between the current Terrington Glory team and a Legends XI made up of ex Terrington players and supporters. After the game had finished, a bbq was held at The Bay Horse Inn, Terrington, and then later that night a race night took place to round the day off. The whole day went very well, as a mixture of very good weather, a huge turn out, and high spirits raised a huge amount of money for both causes.
TERRINGTON GLORY 1 - 1(p) LEGENDS XI
This was the first ever meeting between these two teams and it didn't disappoint. With everyone probably expecting a comfortable Glory win over their more mature experienced opponents, they were very suprised by the outcome of the game. With tactics key to the Legends team, The Glory side took things a little less serious reverting the team from back to front from their normal positions. It looked as though The Glory had taken an early lead when centre back turned centre forward Paul Tyler finished neatly from twelve yards, only for the referee to spot a somewhat contencious offside. The referee became even more unpopular with the Glory side moments later when he adjudged a throw in to be awarded to the Legends even though the ball went straight out from the Legends keepers hands! from the resulting throw in, the Glory players had all pressed forward waiting for their throw, but to everyones including half of the Legends XI disbelief, a quick throw in resulted in the first goal of the game as stand in Glory keeper Jamie Miller couldn't stop the ball from close range. The Glory players began to take things more serious from this stage and they levelled matters only a few minutes later when Paul Tyler made it one all with another neat finish. From then on until the final minute of the game it wasn't a dull affair with the Glory side unable to break down the Legends XI back four, and the Legends XI struggling for fitness! The last kick of the game almost resulted in a goal for the legends when they broke clear one on one with keeper Matty Leathley. Just as the Legends striker was about to pull the trigger a superb last ditch tackle by Andrew Slaughter sent the ball away from goal and also the game to dreaded penalties. With the match down to penalties, the Legends showed their experience by colly slotting home three of their first four penalties, and when Andy Frank saw his effort saved and Paul Milner put his effort at least five yards wide of goal, it was the Legends XI who took the honours.
